Motive Television Announces Solution for TV Everywhere Controversy
''Motive's Television Anywhere (US Patent Pending) is among the biggest changes in watching TV since the invention of time-shifting.''

19 April 2011
London: April 19, 2011 -- Motive Television plc announced today that its proprietary (US Patent Pending) Television Anywhere technology is a solution to the problem of content rights issues regarding TV Everywhere offers by cable and satellite pay television providers. Motive's technology, developed over the past five years in Europe, provides an innovative and flexible approach to the issue of easy distribution of television content to all screens within the home at the direction of the consumer.

Leonard M. Fertig, CEO of Motive, said "Motive’s Television Anywhere technology puts the capability of accessing TV on any screen in the hands of the consumer rather than having cable or satellite operators distributing additional feeds of channels and programs in multiple formats and technologies. By placing our proprietary software into the cable or satellite Set-Top-Box, the cable or DTH provider continues to provide the same service as always, however, the consumer is able to connect to his television source from authenticated registered screens and devices in the home.

Viewers can watch not only any live programming available on their main TV, but programs recorded on their PVR as well. The user experience on any screen is the same as watching the main television and can be consistent across all devices.

Additionally, Motive’s Television Anywhere software platform provides the capability of sideloading (virtual DVD’s) and the ability to use any screen as a remote control. The programming enters the home via cable or DTH and the provider/operator can control which, if any, programs are not permitted to be multi-screen. We feel that our Television Anywhere solution has the same characteristics as the ability of viewers to time shift programs for their own personal use in their home."
